India is known for various holiday spots like Shimla, Jammu & Kashmir but the North East India is yet to be aggressively promoted for all the culture and natural beauty it has to offer. Even though it is not as commercialized, a traveler should not be hesitant to take a trip up here, may be the non-commercialized spirit is what makes the place even more beautiful and peaceful.
1. Kaziranga National park
The National Park has been declared as a UNESCO Heritage Site since it is home to an endangered species of which only three thousand are left in the world, one horned rhinos. The Kaziranga National Park is home to two thousands of these one horned rhinos. It is an experience of a lifetime to be able to spot these while on a safari. Apart from the endangered animal, there are 35 other species of mammals and more than hundreds species of migratory birds that the National Park has to offer.

Sikkim might be famous for Gangtok and the Nathu-la Pass, but it might surprise you with the small towns that are a masterpiece of beauty. Situated at a height of 7000 feet, Ravangla is a small but extremely beautiful tourist town where the trek to the Meenam la Wildlife Sanctuarty starts. The town is especially famous for the Himalayan birds attraction and the Ralang Monestary which symbolizes the Tibetan Buddhism.

The most famous city of Assam might be Guwahati and the state may be known for its wildlife and archaeological attractions, but one just cannot miss the beautiful hill station of Haflong situated at an altitude of 680m above the sea level. The place is filled with myriad fruits and flowers because of the fertile landscape and one can spot more than 2 lakh varieties of flowers in the hills here. Apart from the scenic beauties like the Haflong Lake and Jatinga which is famous for the migratory birds, the place also offers paragliding and trekking.

A unique place on Earth, Tawang is a place with exquisite borders. With Tibet outlying the northern side, Sela range on the eastern front and Bhutan to the Southwest direction, the town has left everyone breathless for at least a few minutes. It is situated at a height of 10,000 feet in the state of Arunachal Pradesh with a breathtaking view of the valley and is a treeking paradise with the Goriechen Peak. The Tawang Monastery is a must visit as well. It is even more famous for the nighttime celestial beauty and has more than 850 sculptures which have been admired by almost every visitor.

Situated at an altutde of 2452m above the sea level, the Dzukou Valley best describes the word â€œenchantingâ€. The place is located on the border of two beautiful states, Nagaland and Manipur, and is blessed with rich fauna and flora. Also, the seasonal flowers are the most beautiful sight.
