1. Roopkund Lake, Uttarakhand

2. Cholamu Lake, Sikkim
It is situated at 18000ft above the sea level in the Himalayas and is the highest lake of fresh water in India and undoubtedly the 14th highest in the whole world. It is a part of army area as it is located 5-6 km from the Tibetan border.Â One can only visit his lake with the Sikkim police and the army as itâ€™s in the sensitive area to enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake. The reflection of birds and mountains make it look more beautiful.
3. Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim
This lake is the second highest in India and is located at a height of 17800 ft. The lake is named after the sage Guru Dongmar and is a sacred place for the Buddhists and the Hindus. The water has an important appeal in the Hindu religion as it is believed that the water has healing properties. It was believed that the lady who will drink its water may regain her virginity and may have a child. The colour of the water remains milky the whole year.
4. Pangong Lake, Ladakh
Pangong is about 7 km wide and 130 km wide and is located about 160 km from Ladakh. The water of the lake has 7 different shades of blue that can be seen at the same time. Different types of wildlife and birds that migrate from other countries can be seen.
5. Tsomoriri Lake, Ladakh
The lake is situated about 240 km from Leh Ladakh at a height of 4595 m. The lake is surrounded by water and one can witness the nature and its colours here. The beautiful valleys, mountains, lakes that surround the lake make it look even more mesmerising.
6. Dal Lake, Kashmir
